Croton Filtration Water Treatment Plant
Yo. This is an aerial photo of the construction site I am working at. We are building a water treatment plant in northern Bronx. The plant will be entirely underground and will treat about 144 million gallons of water each day when it becomes operational, which will be around 10% of the drinking water serving NYC. The water comes from a reservoir north of NYC. A golf course will lay on top of the plant when it's done. It's a monstrous project. The hole in the ground is 550' by 650' and 95' deep which was previous all rock. Excavation consisted of blasting the mother fucker with dynamite. Peace.
